Getting Involved
As providers of land based training and wellbeing activities in the outdoors, Tir Coed is not able to provide our usual service during the Covid-19 outbreak. All training courses and activity days are therefore currently postponed until further notice.
We do, however, have a skeleton staff working from home so that we are able to support beneficiaries by phone and email, and to continue with our development work. Please be assured that delivery staff are being retained and will return to work as soon as possible.
You can contact us as usual through the contact form on the website, or through your usual email contacts, which will have details of alternative contacts where appropriate. We are calling in to check phone messages, but only periodically, so it is best to email if possible. We understand that there will be times when staff will not be available and apologise for this.
The following may answer specific queries:
Current Trainees: We will be in touch to let you know whether we can have a further training day to complete your courses. We are working hard to find ways to accredit learning up to this point, but are not sure yet whether or when this will be possible. We apologise for the uncertainty, but will keep updating this information.
Volunteers: practical volunteering is suspended until further notice. However, we will be in touch as soon as activities can begin again – there will be lots to do!
Applicants for future courses: we will be promoting future courses through our usual referral agencies and across social media platforms when we have a start date for them.
Groups awaiting activity days: We will be in touch to re-schedule outstanding activities. We are also keen to book activities for later in the year.
Finance: creditors and debtors can be assured that our finance team is working, at reduced capacity, and will deal with all matters as soon as possible.
We will publish any updates here as they become available.
