MIND group bench building


This will be the second time that the MIND group join us in the woods create unique and bespoke beautiful benches.

Tir Coed are now recruiting for a free five-day intensive ecology course in the Elan Valley, Powys as part of the Elan Links: People, Nature & Water project. This will be led by local ecologist and natural historian Phil Ward.

The course will run from 10am until 4pm each day and will cover:

• Carrying out a variety of wildlife surveys for plants and animals

• Using different types of survey equipment

• Identifying and recording species

• Surveying an area of land and compiling a report

Members of the Police Force join Tir Coed for some bushcraft activities in the woodlands.

Year 3 & 4 from Rhayader Primary School will be returning to Elan Valley to enjoy a second day of activities including orienteering, treasure hunting and fire-lighting.

The Factory Young People's Centre will be coming to the Elan Valley to enjoy a night retreat as part of the Elan Links project. As well as enjoying a night in the valley, they'll enjoy bushcraft and green woodworking activities and learn survival skills.
