Job Description

Freelance Activity Leaders and Support Workers

Tir Coed employs over 50 expert freelance tutors to undertake the important role of leading groups running activities and training courses both on the land and in the woods.

If you are a Freelance Activity Leader and think that you could provide interesting activities please send us a CV and covering letter detailing your relevant experience and availability. If you would like more information on how to get involved with Tir Coed Projects please contact us

Tir Coed is governed by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable board of 9 trustees with a mixture of private, public and third sector experience.

At this exciting time, we feel it is really important to bring some new people to join our Board of Trustees. The role involves volunteering around 7-10 days a year of your time (including email traffic) to guide and support the Charity. All reasonable expenses are covered. For the Trustee posts, Tir Coed are very much seeking to encourage females, BAME people and younger people to apply, especially those who can bring financial, HR, or legal expertise to the Board, however all interested people will be considered on merit. Please contact the CEO in the first instance for an informal chat on what is involved if you or anyone you know may wish to join our Board.

If you are interested in becoming a Tir Coed trustee and have an interest in our work please contact us

Tir Coed has offered 7 office-based placements over the past 5 years.

After starting with Tir Coed I have experienced a totally progressive, effective, validating, affirming and supportive organisation, have learned so much and witnessed the impressive transformation of many volunteers socially emotionally and psychologically

Enquiry Form

Tir Coed is a charity that connects people with land (Tir) and woods (Coed) by delivering outdoor training, learning and wellbeing programmes across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.

This online form will allow you to register with Tir Coed so that we can connect you with one of our outdoor training courses or wellbeing activities. By completing this form, you can help us to learn more about you, your interests, and any support you may need from us to participate in an outdoor activity. Please note that we sometimes experience high demand for our training courses so, regrettably, we cannot guarantee you an immediate place on a training course. A Tir Coed County Co-ordinator will shortly be in touch to discuss the training courses and/or wellbeing activities that are available to you.

Tir Coed is a registered charity (#1115229) and Limited Company (#03918116).
