A 5-day introduction to woodland working, Tir Coed, the site and the tutors. Trainees will have the opportunity to have a go at some green woodworking and make something to take home. The course is aimed at people interested in woodland careers (these range from tree surgery to social forestry) who must be able to commit to the course dates and be willing to work all day in the woods in all weathers.

Course days: Wednesday, November 3; Thursday, November 4; Wednesday, November 10; Thursday, November 11; Wednesday, November 17.

Get outdoors and discover new skills on our 12-week accredited training course. Our courses are designed to be practical, engaging and fun while enhancing and protecting our natural environment. Learn aspects of sustainable woodland management, conservation and countryside skills. The course sessions are held every Wednesday and Thursday for 12 weeks with a three-week break over Christmas. You MUST be able to attend ALL sessions.
