Tir Coed's Team Development Day
Written by Tir Coed / Tuesday 25 June 2024
We recently held a Team Development Day at one of our wonderful woodland sites in Carmarthenshire, bringing together members of the team spanning the four counties of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys. The day included a tour of the site, showcasing the natural highlights and past Tir Coed projects, a wooden ring making activity led by the VC Gallery and an opportunity to share experiences, skills and expertise. Read what the VC Gallery had to say about the day here…
On Wednesday 19th of June we had the privilege to be asked to run a couple of Bentwood ring sessions at Tir Coed’s Team Development Day for all staff members from accross the organisation at Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park in Carmarthenshire.
It was so great to give back to Tir Coed who have supported our guys at Scolton Woods, Haverfordwest, on a 12 Week Sustainable Woodland Management course recently.
Their knowledge and passion for delivering such courses is second to none and their energy and enthusiasm are amazing.
It was lovely to catch up with familiar faces and new ones and spend some quality time in the woods, making Bentwood rings.
Everyone got involved in the relaxed surroundings, completing their work from some wood veneer to bespoke pieces of individual jewellery.
It was a pleasure collaborating with Tir Coed and being invited along to celebrate yet another successful engagement.
We will certainly continue to work together in the very near future…
A special thanks to VC helpers on the event Donna Evans and Phil Hyde for helping facilitate the workshop and adding a splash of humour at any given moment.
A huge thank you to the Charlie, Donna and Phil for their expert delivery of such an enjoyable woodland craft activity and for creating such a relaxed atmosphere on our Team Development Day!
