  • Forest School with Powys Young Carers - Third of Five Sessions

    The third of five forest School Sessions with Powys Young Carers at Allt Goch Woods, Llanidloes this Saturday 6th August. The young carers have had a fantastic time so far and forest school is such a great outdoor learning experience that gives back to these very giving and inspiring young people.

  • Operation: Wild Child! [Woodland Classroom] Coed Tyllwyd, Llanfarian

    This activity is being run by the Woodland Classroom

    "We’re coming to Aberystwyth to host a full day for woodland adventures for the wild child in your life. Open to kids aged 6-11 years. Join us at our forest school camp and learn how to build better dens, improve your woodcraft skills, make your own thumb stick and discover the mysteries of tracking. There will be games, woodcraft to take home and we’ll be cooking up some tasty campfire snacks together too."

  • Training Youth Workers in Long Wood

    Youth workers from Aberystwyth are spending 2 days in Long Wood Community Woodland near Lampeter to put into practice what they've already learnt on a Tir Coed training session in basic bushcraft skills. Under the watchful eye of Tir Coed tutor Bob Shaw, the youth workers will be running activities with a group of young people, including a nature walk, fire lighting skills, shelter building and greenwood crafts.

  • 2nd day for youth workers in Long Wood

    Another day in the woods for youth workers from Aberystwyth. They will be working with another group of young people and running activities for them including fire lighting, shelter building, greenwood crafts and a nature walk through the woods. Tir Coed tutor Bob Shaw, will be supporting the youth workers again as they put their newly learnt skills into practice.
