Description:
One third of an acre of former town gasworks. There is little evidence of the former industry at the site which has now been repurposed into a community garden that also plays host to local events.
How to get there:
Entrance to Havergardd is situated near Fortune’s Frolic. Heading west on A40 into Haverfordwest town centre upon reaching the second roundabout take first left exit to Uzmaston on the New Road then the next right a short distance on. Head past the TA building and pass underneath railway bridge and the Havergardd site is immediately after on the right.
Haverfordwest town centre is less than a 10-minute walk where you will find the nearest bus stop.
Havergardd has good rail links at Haverfordwest train station.
Facilities:
Compost toilet, one large poly tunnel with two raised planters inside, 14 outdoor raised planters, picnic benches and a pond with an area of wild flowers. Car parking is a very short distance after the site at the entrance to Fortune’s Frolic with just a 2-minute walk to Havergardd.
Haverfordwest town centre is less than a 10-minute walk where you will find the nearest bus stop.

Public Access: The site is open to the public and everyone is welcome when the community garden runs volunteer sessions on Mondays and Fridays. Other organised events are held at the site such as family fun days and skill share events including our popular Sustainable Horticultural courses.
After each session or event, the site is securely locked limiting access.
Site Owner:
The site is owned by Wales and West Utilities, currently leased to Haverfordwest Town Council, but Havergardd is seeking to take on the lease moving forwards.
