Nanteos a success and a busy summer season to come!
Written by Tir Coed / Wednesday 28 June 2017
It looks like we will have a very active summer season here at Tir Coed. Training courses are well underway at two of our sites and the third is due to start shortly.
On top of that we are out and about at local events meeting people, demonstrating wood crafts, and explaining a bit about our work. We had three pole lathes as well as old fashioned skittles, carving, and an information point at the Summer Fair at Nanteos on the 25th June and the day was busy despite the on-off rain. We also have had information stands at Llais y Goedwig’s annual gathering and attended a Platform event on post-Brexit options for the countryside!
If you missed us at Nanteos why not look out for us at one of these upcoming events.
- 15/16th July - Celebrating Strata Florida, near Pontrhyfendigaid (Tir Coed demonstrations);
- 24-27 July - Royal Welsh Show, Builth Wells (Tir Coed will be on the Llais Y Goedwig stand);
- 2nd August, Ray Ceredigion Young People's Festival (Tir Coed demonstrations),
We are particularly thrilled to be at the Celebrating Strata Florida event as it looks like it will be one of the highlights in Ceredigion, with free entry to the event and the Abbey.
Our demonstrations will be just one of a whole host of activities happening over two days aimed at families, the curious as well as serious archaeology and history fans.
Please keep an eye on our calendar which will be updated regularly as more events are added.
