Welcome Powys Mentor

Written by Tir Coed / Wednesday 21 March 2018

Hi, I'm Harry Ireland and I have recently been appointed as Powys Mentor for Tir Coed. I will be working up at the Elan Valley and working closely with Anna, Elan Links Volunteering and Training Coordinator, to support Elan Links projects in the Elan Valley.

I have a background in woodland management and a passion for the outdoors and traditional crafts and the joy and satisfaction they can bring.

For the past 4 years I have worked as a ranger in the Elan Valley, in my time there have worked closely with Tir Coed to facilitate the running of courses. I was in fact lucky enough to attend one of the 12 week courses run by Tir Coed and got some first hand experience of how fun and informative these courses can be.

I'm here to help identify the right course or activity for the participants and to assist with the next steps in their future once they've completed their time with us, whether it be further education, volunteering, training or employment.
