Tell us a little something about yourself...
I live near Machynlleth with my partner and kids and a menagerie of animals. I was a Student Support Manager in The Graduate School of the Environment at CAT before coming to Tir Coed. Before that I was a scuba diving instructor and Eco-Tour guide in Africa & Central America.
What are your hobbies?
Gardening, reading and walking the dog.
What excites you most about your new role?
I am really looking forward to pulling together some exciting new courses which benefit nature and people in Ceredigion.
What do you enjoy most about being outdoors?
I love the sensory experience of being in the woods, taking in the smell of damp leaves, the feel of a mossy rock or the sounds of birds calling to each other.
What inspires you?
Community initiatives to take practical action for nature.
What's your favourite season of the year and why?
Spring, the season of hope. All those new green shoots coming up and the birds singing.
If you were a tree, what tree would you be and why?
Perhaps a little bit optimistically, I’d be a silver birch. Flexible and bright whatever the season. Happy to pioneer and start something new.
