Another 12 weeks has come to an end, but what a legacy its left!

The Roundhouse is perfectly located, nestled at the bottom of Cnwch Woods on the banks of the River Elan, although not 100% finished it already feels like it belongs and is a great testament to the Tir Coed Trainees and Tutors who built it. The last 3 weeks of the course saw our intrepid crew work well past the 4pm end time, to ensure that the course ended with a usable structure.
Only 1 of our trainees had ever undertaken a project like this and many had never used a chisel or drawn knife. Over the weeks I've watched the confidence of the group grow and the project turn into a labour of love. Our Round house is a testament to what can be achieved when you give people the opportunity to shine.
