Tell us a little something about yourself...
I'm from Brighton and have been a chef for 30 years. I've lived in Lincolnshire, Southampton, Oxfordshire and Wales. I have two children Huey, aged 9, and Heidi Lu, 7. I've lived in Rhayader since July 2020 and moved here for a more outdoorsy life.
What are your hobbies?
I like walking, wildlife photography and I also play football.
What excites you most about your new role?
The thing that excites me most about the new role is seeing progress in people and helping them to reach where they want to be.
What do you enjoy most about being outdoors?
When I'm outdoors I feel relaxed and free, with a bond to nature. There is so much to take in when outdoors from glimpsing wildlife to the colours that change with the seasons.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the world around me, especially how nature overcomes most obstacles and thrives in the most extreme circumstances.
What's your favourite season of the year and why?
My favourite season is definitely autumn - magical colours, less leaves on the trees so you can see the birds, nice and cool after summer. and slow cooked stews.
If you were a tree, what tree would you be and why?
If I was a tree I would be an oak, found around the country, quick to put roots down and producing two little acorns.
