Tell us a little something about yourself
My name is Tracy Stack and I have recently been appointed as Training and Accreditation Coordinator with Tir Coed. I began my career as a groom and horse riding instructor, but after becoming a mother I soon realized that the two didn’t mix, so I became a primary school teacher. I later went on to become Special Educational Needs Coordinator, due to my passion for everyone to achieve the best they can. However, when Covid 19 came along, causing everyone extreme stress and worry my husband and I decided to semi-retire to Wales. We have been living here for over two years now and have met some very friendly people during that time.
What are your hobbies?
In my free time I enjoy being in the outdoors, hence why working at Tir Coed appealed to me (and I have not been disappointed). My family is also important to me and I spend as much spare time as possible with my 4-month-old granddaughter. I am at my happiest when I am walking my dog Hector and taking time to slow down and just look at the views.
What excites you most about your new role?
The opportunity to meet new people, explore the countryside and hopefully make a positive difference to the lives of others.
What do you enjoy most about being outdoors?
The tranquillity, space and fresh air that makes you feel alive.
What’s your favourite season and why?
My favourite season is Spring because everything begins to come back to life. The air has a hint of warmth and the colours seem even more vibrant and fresh.
If you were a tree, what would you be?
Perhaps a small fir tree that is brought into the warm over the cold winter season and decorated for Christmas.
