From Sapling to Shave horse in 5 days at the Elan Valley
6 Trainees joined experienced Tir Coed tutor Colin and former Tir Coed trainee Blue as support tutor to build 4 shave horses from locally sourced Ash in 180 hours - 5 days at the beautiful Elan Valley, Powys. Read the blog to find out what they got up to.

Traditional Woodland Craft Progression Course in Pembrokeshire
The aim of our progression weeks is to deepen knowledge, understanding and skills developed during the longer courses. 6 trainees who have recently completed a bridge building course spent 153 hours learning how to build traditional green woodworking equipment.

Young People's Festival Fun
RAY Ceredigion held their annual Young Peoples Festival in Aberaeron during August. Tir Coed attended the event and put on free wood crafting taster activities for young people with tutors Anna Thomas and Aled Prichard demonstrating and leading the activities.
