Agored Cymru Level 2 Practical Conservation Training Course, Allt Goch Woods, Llanidloes

Accredited training that witnessed the successful pilot of the development of first and second stage volunteers on a clear progression route. The course provided the continued sensitive management of the woods in terms of biodiversity and public safety whilst actively enabling participants to move significantly closer to the job market.

On the winter woodland management training course participants selectively thinned a stand of Japanese Red Cedar to promote the native Ash and Oak, and constructed a timber frame that will become a dry learning space for the site.
