With the VINE project coming to an end, so is our time at Long Wood. During the celebration event, members of the public contributed to work on a bench. The Wednesday Volunteers came together to finish the bench and install it in a spot overlooking the pond near the visitor centre.

Groups who have benefited from the VINE project, families, local residents, tutors and participants all turned up to celebrate the incredible work that has been done in this woodland over the last three years.
Autumn Foraging with Jade
Jade Mellor came along to Long Wood along with tutor Ben Allen to share their expertise and knowledge of autumn foraging. They collected ivy flowers, learnt about various wild fruits and wandered through the beautiful autumn woods.
